Dental Emergencies
To help with your questions or concerns, we’ve provided a handy list of dental problems which need attention immediately and those which don’t. If you are still unsure and would like further advice please do not hesitate to call us.
Urgent
You will be offered an appointment ASAP - usually within 24 hours
Facial Swelling

Facial Swelling that extends to the neck and/or eye
Bleeding

Bleeding as a result of trauma that does not stop

Bleeding after an extraction that does not stop after 20 mins of pressure with a gauze/handkerchief (small amount of oozing is expected)
Pain
-
Significant toothache that can not be managed with regular pain relief and is associated with swelling and/or fever
Non-Urgent
Manage at home or call the practice for advice. We will endeavour to get you an appointment as soon as possible, usually, within a week

Chipped Teeth with no pain

Broken, lost or loose fillings

Lost, loose Crowns, Bridges, Veneers

Bleeding gums (occasional)

Dentures that are broken, loose or rubbing
